If your email marketing strategy just focuses on making money, you will certainly lose your subscribers because they quickly find out you don’t care about them and that you’re only out to make a quick buck.. However, if you focus on what they need to be successful, they will remain a subscriber and will want to eagerly come back to see what else they can learn from you.

In order to find out what they need you’ll want to identify your target market’s problem and solve it” – you’’re probably tired of hearing about this but it’s very easy to forget this important point when you are marketing by email. Get to know your subscribers so you’ll learn what problems they would like help with.

So why would you want to solve their problem?

If your answer is to build your list or just to make money you’re on the wrong track. If you follow that plan you may make some sales initially but will loose the opportunity to build relationships and further sales

If you focus on the needs of your subscribers, and do your level best to keep supplying them with what they want, the money follows naturally.

Once again, I’m telling you something you’ve heard before – but at a deeper, more subtle level. You’re not just “solving your target market’s problem”. You’re going out of your way to give your subscriber what he or she specifically needs most – at that exact time.

This is really not that difficult to do but you will need to get to know your subscriber, inside and out – notice I’m using the singular, not the plural. When you can truly identify their immediate problem, you can then help your subscriber achieve the best performance possible – that’s also a great way to build trust in you.

Make your subscribers part of your team. Help your subscriber make money. It all boils down to something you don’t hear much about any more – the “Golden Rule”. Treat others like you want to be treated.

If you genuinely keep doing that when you’re marketing by email you’ll have loyal subscribers that will want to buy what you recommend. As they say “it’s all a matters of trust”
