Why A Squeeze Page Is Needed To Build Your List

A Squeeze Page, oftentimes known as a landing page, is a highly effective tool in building a list in your niche. Not only does a squeeze page enable you to build your list but it helps you to establish a web presence and provides you with an easy way to start working with the people in your niche.

So what exactly is a Squeeze Page.?

A squeeze page is a web page designed for only one purpose – to gather your site visitors name and e-mail address in exchange for a special report or course. Usually, no products are being sold on the page and there isn’t any other content other than a brief sales page and the optin email box.

Any time visitors land on the squeeze page, they are encouraged to enter their name and e-mail address in the opt in email box. Immediately after they’ve entered the information, they’ll receive their free gift via e-mail or they may be directed to it automatically. Without having to opt in, many people would read the special report or course and then forget about it entirely. By recording their information (with their permission of course), you can easily get in touch with them in a couple of days to follow up on the report and start to build your relationship with them. Your squeeze page is the first step in of your email marketing strategies. This will eventually lead to the subscribers purchasing from you or buying an affiliate product that you recommend.

There are three keys doing this first step successfully:

1. Needs.

To start with , offer them something of value. Something that is attractive to your visitor. When you set up your squeeze page, your objective is to get people to opt in. They will not want to give away their email information if all you are offering is a recycled Private label rights eBook or a report that doesn’t fit their needs. You want to create something of value so they will be willing to opt into your list and get your gift. If you can’t create something yourself, outsource the writing. You can offer a report, an e-course or a free audio/video presentation. Make sure that it really speaks to your niche and you’ll get more opt ins.

2. Description.

You need to convince your site visitors as to why they should opt-in. A lot of marketers merely place the email opt in box and a topic on the page and then drive traffic to the page. Even though your squeeze page is just for a free gift you should bring out your copywriting skills convince the reader that they should opt in. You should bring to their attention the vallue of the gift so they are surprised that it is free.

3. Delivery.

Lastly, use a trustworthy email marketing system. Gathering e-mail addresses is only part of the method. The intent of your squeeze page is to build your list. Your email autoresponder service should be easy to use so you can get the most out of your list.

Here’s an example of how it works.

If you are advertising an eBook on “Going Green” as an affiliate, you can build a squeeze page to give away a report entitled – 5 Tips To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint. The people who opt into your report will receive the report via e-mail. You then have an opportunity to market to your list in the future and send them to the sales page for the Carbon Footprint eBook, as well as other products they may find interesting.

Make these steps a part of your daily email marketing strategies and you’ll build a large, targeted and profitable subscriber list.
